Dr. Biele is a Minnesota native and graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. She lives in the Twin Cities area with her husband and three young children. Other inhabitants of her home include two English Setter dogs named Spruce and Sap and an exuberant young cat named Sherwood.

Welcome to Maple Grove Pet Hospital! Meet Jerry, our Practice Manager and Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with over 30 years of dedicated experience in the field. With Jerry at the helm, our team is committed to providing exceptional client care.
Jerry’s leadership fosters a culture of teamwork and client satisfaction, ensuring seamless service and support for both pets and their families. He believes in personalized care and attention, striving to create meaningful connections with each client.
Beyond the clinic, Jerry is an active volunteer at the North Minneapolis Pet Resources Center, extending our commitment to community support.
Jerry, along with his husband John of 22 years, relocated to MN about 9 years ago. In his free time, Jerry enjoys camping and kayaking, with Voyaguer National Park being a favorite destination for long kayaking and camping trips. With extensive experience caring for various pets professionally and personally, Jerry currently shares his home with Luke, an 85-pound golden doodle, and Connor, an 83-pound Labradoodle, both of whom will be familiar faces at the clinic. Jerry also has a passion for cooking and baking, always eager to try out new recipes.
Under Jerry’s guidance, Maple Grove Pet Hospital prioritizes the health and well-being of pets while ensuring the satisfaction and peace of mind of their owners.
Becca, CVT
Certified Veterinary Technician
Meet Becca D., a seasoned certified veterinary technician (CVT) whose passion for animals and dedication to compassionate care have defined her career. Graduating from veterinary technician school in 2009, Becca has amassed a wealth of experience working in various small animal veterinary practices across the Twin Cities.
In addition to her clinical work, Becca has lent her expertise to the Pet Poison Control Helpline, where she provided invaluable assistance to pet owners in times of need. Her diverse background has equipped her with a breadth of knowledge and skills that she brings to our practice.
Family is at the heart of Becca’s life, and she finds joy in spending time with her two children, three beloved cats, and a cherished dog who holds a special place in her heart. With her deep love for animals, Becca has developed a keen interest in supporting clients and patients during hospice care and providing end-of-life education, ensuring that pets receive dignity and comfort in their final moments.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Becca enjoys indulging in her hobbies, which include sewing, practicing yoga, and taking long, quiet walks with her canine companion. These moments of tranquility allow her to recharge and find balance amidst the demands of her work and family life.
With Becca’s compassionate care and extensive experience, you can trust that your furry family members are in capable hands. Marlo
Veterinary Technician
A compassionate veterinary technician hailing from Crystal, MN, who brings warmth and expertise to our practice. Marlo’s journey in veterinary medicine has been marked by a deep love for all creatures, with a special affinity for our beloved big dogs.
Marlo’s devotion to her family shines through in every aspect of her life. As a devoted wife and mother of three wonderful children, Marlo understands the importance of love, care, and compassion, both at home and in the clinic.
At home, Marlo shares her life with two furry companions: an 11-year-old Doberman/Lab mix and a lively 4-year-old boxer mix. Her heart truly belongs to these big dogs, whose companionship brings joy and fulfillment to her life.
When she’s not busy caring for animals, Marlo cherishes quality time with her family outdoors, enjoying nature walks, bike rides, playgrounds, and beaches. Family movie nights are a treasured tradition, although finding a movie that everyone agrees on can sometimes be a challenge!
Marlo’s educational journey led her to graduate with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology, laying the foundation for her fulfilling career in veterinary medicine. Her genuine love for animals and her desire to build lasting relationships with clients and their pets are at the core of her approach to care.
Marlo believes in earning the trust of her furry patients by providing compassionate and personalized care. She takes the time to get to know each pet individually, ensuring they feel comfortable and at ease during their visits to the clinic.

Rachel is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with a deep commitment to providing exceptional care to all her patients, especially her feline friends. She has been a CVT since 2011 and holds both Fear Free Veterinary Professional certification and Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional certification. For the past ten years of her career, Rachel worked at a 14-doctor practice in Minneapolis, honing her skills and gaining valuable experience in a busy veterinary environment. She is passionate about creating positive veterinary experiences, particularly for anxious cats, and finds it the most rewarding part of her work. Rachel’s dedication to her patients’ well-being, both physically and emotionally, makes her a valuable asset to the Maple Grove Pet Hospital team.
When not at the clinic, Rachel resides in Eden Prairie with her partner, Luke, and their two beloved cats: Macchiato, a playful 1.5-year-old Cheetoh, and Giuseppe, a distinguished 7-year-old Domestic Shorthair. In her free time, she enjoys working on puzzles, engaging in friendly competition with board games, exploring nature on walks with Luke and their cats, and expressing her creativity by playing the piano. Rachel’s holistic approach to animal care, combined with her dedication to reducing stress and making vet visits more positive, ensures that all pets at Maple Grove Pet Hospital receive compassionate and personalized treatment.
Emily
Lead Client Service Representative
Emily is our lead Client Service Representative who joined the Maple Grove Pet Hospital team in May 2024, bringing with her a background in the veterinary industry since February 2022. She has a true passion for providing exceptional client care, focusing on building strong relationships with pet owners and facilitating clear communication between clients and the hospital’s medical team. Emily’s friendly and empathetic nature makes her a warm and welcoming first and last impression for everyone who visits our hospital.
Outside of her role, Emily leads a busy life as a mom. In her downtime, she enjoys staying active with outdoor activities, crafting, and reading. Her own love for animals extends to her family of pets, which includes D, a 6-year-old Pitbull/Lab mix; Temperance, a 1.5-year-old deaf Pitbull/Boxer; Mocha, an 18-year-old cat; and Salem, a 3-year-old cat. Her personal experience as a dedicated pet owner further deepens her understanding and compassion for the clients she serves.

Meet Sam, our team member with a special touch! Before bringing her expertise to Maple Grove Pet Hospital as a Client Service Representative, Sam dedicated eight years to working as a dog trainer. This experience has given her a fantastic understanding of animal behavior and a knack for making pets feel comfortable and at ease during their visit.
Her compassion for animals extends to her own home, where she cares for her two beloved pets: Finley, her adventure-loving dog, and Munch, her cat. When she’s not at the hospital, you might spot Sam and Finley on a hiking trail, or see her trying out a new dish at a restaurant with friends. One of her most cherished memories is a trip to Key West, Florida, a testament to her love for travel and new experiences.
